Joan of Arc (1412-1431)


After receiving visions from Archangel Michael, Saint Margaret and Saint Catherine, Joan supported Charles VII. She led French troops to victory and Charles was eventually coronated. After the coronation, Joan was tried as a heretic and burned at the stake. Twenty five years after her execution, was was declared innocent. Joan was beatified in 1909 and canonized as a Catholic saint in 1920.
