"Collaborative Education with a Purpose"
Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist in South Africa. In 1961, he co-founded Umkhonto we Sizwe. The following year, he was convicted of conspiracy to overthrow the state and served the next 27 years in prison. In 1994, he was elected the first black president of South Africa.
